«Les lions ne mangent pas de croquettes» is the children's picture book by André Bouchard, published by Seuil Jeunesse in hardcover (40 pages, in French).
Clémence, an obedient girl, can't have a dog or a cat, so she comes home with a lion. Having it as a pet proves practical: it doesn't eat kibble and feeds on what it finds in the street. The downside is that her friends disappear during games of hide-and-seek.
Originally published on September 13, 2012. It belongs to the Albums jeunesse collection from Seuil Jeunesse.
For young children and early readers: an illustrated story with absurd humor, starring a girl and her unexpected pet.
