«Les Ombres de la vallée» is the crime novel by Viveca Sten, published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (576 pages, in French).
A mutilated corpse appears near Åre station: the victim, a former skiing champion, was much loved. Near the Norwegian border, Rebecka disappears; she dreamed of giving herself to God by marrying the pastor of a Christian sect. Hanna Ahlander and Daniel Lindskog investigate whether the two cases are connected.
Continues the story begun with «Une écharpe dans la neige». Viveca Sten is also the author of the series «Meurtres à Sandhamn». Translated from Swedish by Amanda Postel and Anna Postel.
For readers of Nordic noir and viewers of the Netflix series «Morts à Åre».
