«Les perles de l'annuaire» is a humorous compilation by a collective author, published by J'Ai Lu in paperback (90 pages, in French).
«Les perles de l'annuaire» brings together real first and last names from French phone directories that are hard to bear or comical: surnames like Sacavin or Meurdesoif, namesakes of celebrities (Brigitte Bardot, Jean Dujardin) and combinations that seem like jokes, such as Ange Gabriel or Pierre Ponce.
The subtitle of the work is «Ces noms incroyables mais vrais !»; the edition was published in 2013.
For those who enjoy language curiosities, everyday humor and the oddities of official records.
