«L'esperit negre» is the children's mystery book by Ursel Scheffler and Hannes Gerber, published by Edicions del Pirata in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
Each chapter presents an independent detective case that the reader must solve like a detective. The color black is key in several cases: a black box that could contain an explosive, a black Porsche and a thief with black hair. Commissioner Llampec also uncovers the trick of an illusionist performing on the ghost train. At the end of each case, the solution can be read in three ways: in front of a mirror, learning to read backwards, or against the light.
It is the seventh title in the Comissari Llampec collection, from the original Kommissar Kugelblitz series. Recommended for children aged 10 and up, also for reluctant readers, with short cases that help improve reading comprehension.
Perfect for young readers who enjoy mystery cases and interactive reading, also for those who are usually reluctant readers and are looking for a short and motivating read.
