«L'étrange Monsieur Joseph» is a novel by Alphonse Boudard, published by Pocket in paperback, in French.
The story is set in 1947, in a France marked by the black market and crime; the very opening warns that, to understand the matter, one should look at that context from more than fifty years later, in the era of the TGV.
The original work was published in 1998; this Pocket edition dates from January 6, 2000.
For fans of crime stories set in postwar France.
