«L'home intranquil» is the contemporary novel by Kiko Amat, published by Columna CAT in paperback (152 pages, in Catalan).
The protagonist, Kiko Amat, spends thirty-five days of August with his wife, Taronja, and their ten-month-old son. Neurotic and indignant, he reviews his hates and loves while coming to terms with his physical decline and human failure; between chronicle and fiction he rails against perfect parents, tourists and television, with Taronja as a sarcastic counterpoint.
It appeared in September 2010. It belongs to the Clàssica collection of Columna CAT. The cover subtitle is «35 dies en família d'un neuròtic entusiasta».
For readers of contemporary fiction who enjoy ironic humor and social criticism.
