«L'incendiaire: vie de Saül, apôtre» is the fictionalized biography of the apostle Paul by Gérald Messadié (Robert Laffont, 500 pages, paperback, French).
The book follows Saul of Tarsus, a Pharisee persecuting the early Christians, and narrates his transformation into Paul, one of the main promoters of early Christianity. Messadié combines biblical and historical sources to reconstruct his life, from his youth to his travels as a missionary.
This work is the third volume of the series «L'homme qui devint Dieu», by Gérald Messadié, and includes bibliographical references and an index.
A read for those interested in the history of Christianity and in the fictionalized recreation of biblical figures such as the apostle Paul.
Gerald Messadié was a French scientific journalist, essayist and novelist. His work comprised historical novels, biographies, essays on the history of religions, and some science fiction work where esoterism takes a large place.
