In 'Literature and Life', Augusto Monterroso invites us to explore his world through microscopic essays, personal reflections, autobiographical stories, and conversations. This book is a journey through the themes that always fascinated him: erudition, criticism of the incompatibility between Latin America and political utopia, the defense of the short story, anecdotes, the classics, and the search for recondite characters that illuminate known figures. With his characteristic elegance and humor, Monterroso offers us a brilliant vision of his literary and vital universe.
