Lituma en los Andes es una novela del reconocido escritor peruano Mario Vargas Llosa, publicada en 1993. La historia sigue al cabo Lituma y su compañero Tomás, miembros de la Guardia Civil, mientras investigan misteriosas desapariciones en un remoto pueblo andino llamado Naccos, en medio del conflicto con el grupo terrorista Sendero Luminoso. La novela entrelaza la investigación con la historia personal de los personajes, explorando temas de violencia, misterio y la influencia de las creencias ancestrales en la sociedad peruana. Ambientada en los años 80, la obra sumerge al lector en un ambiente hostil y bárbaro, donde la amenaza de los guerrilleros maoístas se mezcla con desapariciones inexplicables y la historia íntima de los personajes. Vargas Llosa teje una narrativa mítica y realista, ofreciendo una visión implacable y minuciosa de la realidad peruana.
