«Locura de la psiquiatría» is the critical essay by Alberto Fernández Liria, published by Desclée De Brouwer in paperback.
The history of psychiatry is not explained only by what psychiatrists have thought: attention must be paid to the role of mental health in each society. The book argues that psychiatric theories are ideology to justify practices demanded from outside, and exposes contradictions to think of alternatives.
Published in 2018 in Spanish, with 184 pages. It belongs to the collection A los cuatro vientos (number 81).
A work for those seeking to understand the tensions between medicine, society, and mental well-being.
