«Locus» is the satirical novel by Antoni Gual, published by La Campana in paperback (406 pages, in Catalan).
The narrator is a neurotic young man who is not quite sure where he is going and runs into outlandish characters who are even worse off than he is, from Uncle Quasimodo to a general who invites him to read in the doghouse. The work presents itself as an inverted bildungsroman: the protagonist's path is one of unlearning and blurring, without being able to fully distinguish fantasy from reality.
Part of La Campana's Narrativa Catalana collection. Paperback edition with flaps, in Catalan.
For readers of satirical and humorous fiction with a touch of ironic, unconventional literary perspective.
