Synopsis of L'Oeuvre au Noir
L'Œuvre au Noir es una novela histórica de la escritora belga-francesa Marguerite Yourcenar, publicada en 1968. La historia se centra en la vida y muerte de Zénon, un médico, filósofo, científico y alquimista nacido en Brujas en el siglo XVI, durante el Renacimiento. A través de la vida de Zénon, Yourcenar explora temas como la búsqueda del conocimiento, la libertad individual y los conflictos entre la razón y la fe en una época de grandes cambios y tensiones sociales. La novela fue galardonada con el Premio Femina el mismo año de su publicación y ha sido adaptada al cine.
