«Lois e Helena buscándose un día de tormenta» is the novel by Manuel Veiga, published by Editorial Galaxia in paperback (208 pages, in Galician).
Lois wakes up and discovers that his wife, Helena, is no longer at home; she also doesn't answer calls. Uncertainty and fear of the couple's failure trigger a search, while the novel interweaves that story with that of Vigo, a city that wants to recognize and accept itself in its greatness and miseries, with musical and biting prose.
Novel winner of the García Barros Prize 2006 and published in the Literaria collection by Editorial Galaxia.
For readers of contemporary Galician narrative interested in stories about relationships, identity, and urban life.
