Los de abajo es una novela del escritor mexicano Mariano Azuela, publicada por primera vez en 1915. Es considerada una de las obras más importantes de la literatura mexicana y una de las primeras novelas de la Revolución Mexicana. La novela narra la historia de Demetrio Macías, un campesino que se une a la Revolución Mexicana y se convierte en un líder militar. A través de los ojos de Macías, Azuela describe la brutalidad y la corrupción de la guerra, así como la desilusión de muchos revolucionarios con los resultados de la Revolución. Esta edición de Cátedra, con edición de Marta Portal, ofrece una introducción y notas que enriquecen la lectura de esta obra clásica.
