«Los días felices» is the novel by French author Laurent Graff, published by Lengua de Trapo in paperback (88 pages, in Spanish).
Antoine, a thirty-five-year-old man, separated and with two children, decides to move into a retirement home. There he shares the routine with a group of octogenarians and, between comic and pathetic scenes, the story offers a choral portrait that ends up questioning the place of those left on the margins.
The Spanish translation is by Tamara Gil Somoza and the volume belongs to the Otras Lenguas collection (no. 30). The work was originally published in French as «Les jours heureux».
For readers of contemporary fiction who prefer short, choral stories, with humor and a reflection on old age.
