«Los duendes barrigudos» is the illustrated children's story by Carmen Gil, with illustrations by Anne Decís, published by EDICIONES SM in hardcover (30 pages, in Spanish).
Gorri and Babo, two pot-bellied goblins, purple and squirrel-sized, live in abandoned houses they decorate with useless objects. One night, while flying over the forest, they come across some pointy-hatted witches, their traditional enemies. In this story, some pictograms replace certain words to speed up reading.
It belongs to SM's Pictograms collection, for early readers aged 3 to 5, with drawings that replace some words in the text.
