«Los hijos de Sira López» is the novel by José Luis Martín Vigil published in 1981 by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (260 pages, in Spanish).
Sira López, mother of eight children raised in the Spain of the 1940s and 1950s, suddenly finds herself facing a society changing at great speed. Each child represents a universe of their own and tests her convictions, in a novel that portrays the clash between two worlds: that of tradition and that of the desire for transformation.
For readers of Spanish fiction who want to approach postwar Spain through the portrait of a family and its conflicts.
