«Los olvidados del Orfa» is the autobiographical novel by Alfonso Gutiérrez Villacañas, published by Bubok Publishing in paperback (416 pages, in Spanish).
Based on the author's memories of a Spanish orphanage in the 1960s, it recounts, through the eyes of a child aged 6 to 10, the harsh living conditions of those boys. With humor, sharp criticism and horror, these are brief chapters of memory, fear, games and loneliness, united by the will not to forget the «forgotten».
The author was born in Madrid in 1956 and oriented his professional career towards teaching; this is his first published work.
Suitable for all audiences, especially for those seeking a testimony of life in an orphanage in 1960s Spain.
