Los santos inocentes es una novela del escritor español Miguel Delibes, publicada en 1981. La obra retrata las precarias condiciones de vida de una familia de campesinos extremeños, oprimida por la miseria y el yugo de los señores. A través de una narrativa realista y poética, Delibes ofrece una alegoría de la España de poseedores y desposeídos, explorando la violación de las relaciones entre el hombre y la naturaleza. La novela fue adaptada al cine en 1983 por Mario Camus, conservando el humanismo y la intensidad del relato original.

Miguel Delibes

Miguel Delibes Setién was a Spanish novelist, journalist and newspaper editor associated with the Generation of '36 movement. From 1975 until his death, he was a member of the Royal Spanish Academy, where he occupied letter "e" seat. Educated in commerce, he began his career as a cartoonist and columnist. He later became the editor for the regional newspaper El Norte de Castilla before gradually devoting himself exclusively to writing novels.
