Love letters to the dead

Synopsis of Love letters to the dead

Laurel must write a letter to a deceased person as an assignment for English class and chooses Kurt Cobain, since he died young, just like Laurel's sister. Soon, Laurel is writing letters to many dead people: Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, River Phoenix, Amelia Earheart, Amy Winehouse... She writes about her new high school, her new friends, her first love, and her shattered life. But the ghosts of Laurel's past cannot remain contained between the lines of a page forever. She must face them before they consume her.
