«Love Poems» is the collection of love poems by Giles Andreae (Purple Ronnie), published by Boxtree Ltd in hardcover (64 pages, in English).
It gathers verses by Purple Ronnie that treat love with humor and without solemnity: cloying love, affection between friends, hugs, kisses and the bolder moments of a couple. With his characteristic light-hearted style, the collection turns everyday situations into a funny look at romantic clichés.
The character Purple Ronnie, created by Giles Andreae, is known in the UK for his humorous greeting cards; the collection brings together already popular verses and new ones.
Aimed at an adult audience and suitable as a gift for couples or readers with a sense of humor.
Giles Andreae is a British writer and illustrator. He is the creator of the stickman poet Purple Ronnie and the humorous artist/philosopher Edward Monkton, and is the author of Giraffes Can't Dance and many other books for children.
