«Luna lunera» is the novel by Rosa Regàs, published by Plaza & Janés in hardcover (336 pages, in Spanish).
Before the dying grandfather, several voices evoke a family broken by an authoritarian man who believed himself sent by God. The grandchildren raised under his custody reconstruct their mother's struggle to get them back and the postwar period told to children by the women in the kitchen. In that closed world, the light of a courtyard and a song point to liberation.
This work won the 1999 Premi Ciutat de Barcelona in the category of Literature in the Spanish language.
For readers of Spanish-language fiction interested in stories of family memory and the postwar period.
