«Madrid» is Azorín's book about the Spanish capital, published by Avapiés in paperback (214 pages, in Spanish).
Azorín offers a personal and evocative vision of Madrid and walks the reader through its streets and history, blending urban observation, memories and reflection. The city thus becomes a literary landscape where the everyday and the historical intertwine.
This edition of «Madrid», published in 1988, is the first in the Biblioteca Matritense collection (no. 1); the critical edition by Manuel Lacarta includes a bibliography.
José Augusto Trinidad Martínez Ruiz, better known by his pseudonym Azorín, was a Spanish novelist, essayist and literary critic.
