«Madrid ayer y hoy» is a book of old and current photographs of Madrid by Ediciones La Librería, in paperback, 352 pages, in Spanish.
The book brings together a good selection of the most classic photographs of Madrid and places them alongside the current image of the same view. The contrast reveals how the city has changed over time, sometimes radically and other times almost imperceptibly. The edition dispenses with explanatory texts and opts to include as many images as possible so that the reader can compare and enjoy.
First edition published on October 7, 2014. The interior includes 600 photographs, and the thematic classification is history of Spain.
Recommended for those interested in local history, nostalgia, and the urban evolution of Madrid.
