«Madrid en la novela III» is the anthology by Julia Barella and Francisco Gutiérrez Carbajo, published by Comunidad de Madrid in paperback (300 pages).

The selection aims to show how the social and cultural life of Madrid in the second half of the 19th century was reflected in narrative. Authors such as Clarín, Pereda, Galdós, Pardo Bazán, Palacio Valdés, Baroja and Valle-Inclán turn the capital into another character, whose portrait helps understand contemporary Madrid.
