«Mambrú no fue a la guerra» is the children's book by Carmen Vázquez-Vigo, published by Gondomar in 1986 in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
The story starts from the children's song that popularized Mambrú, the soldier who went off to war, and turns it around: here the character does not go to the front and becomes the protagonist of other everyday adventures, told with humor for the little ones.
Originally published in 1986, this work belongs to the collection «La Ballena Alegre» (no. 39).
Aimed at young readers who are starting to read in Spanish and enjoy short stories.
