«Man and Boy» is the contemporary novel by Tony Parsons, published by HarperCollins as an audiobook on CD (in English).
Harry Silver has a good job in television, a wife and a small son; one impulsive night changes everything and he ends up raising his son alone. The novel follows that process of personal reconstruction: learning to be a father, earning self-respect and truly understanding what love and family mean, with an intimate register that combines humor and emotion.
Abridged audiobook on 3 CDs, read by Colin Buchanan (170 minutes). It is the first installment of the Harry Silver series and won the British Book Award in 2001.
For listeners of contemporary fiction looking for stories about family and second chances.
