«Manual para españoles sin complejos» is the historical essay by Juan Sánchez Galera and Pedro Fernández Barbadillo, published by Edaf in paperback.
Essay that dismantles the clichés of the Black Legend: the Inquisition, the expulsion of the Jews, the conquest of America or scientific backwardness. The authors compare these episodes with other European powers and respond to the criticisms of nationalisms, vindicating indigenous rights and the role of women in modern Spain.
First edition published in January 2022 within the Crónicas de la Historia collection, with ISBN-10 8441441340.
Aimed at readers interested in the history of Spain who seek a popularizing review of the debate on the Black Legend.
