«Maometto» is Alfonso Maria Di Nola's essay on Muhammad, published by Newton Compton Editori in paperback (100 pages, in Italian).
The book analyzes the figure of Muhammad, founder of Islam, from the history of religions: it contrasts the Eastern «golden legend», full of miracles and wonders, with the medieval demonization that branded him an impostor, and vindicates his ethical and moral stature.
It belongs to the «Il sapere» collection of Tascabili Economici Newton, «enciclopedia tascabile»; Italian edition of 1996.
Aimed at readers interested in the history of religions, Islam and the figure of Muhammad.
