«Mar i cel» is the tragedy in three acts and in verse by Àngel Guimerà, published by Educaula in paperback (224 pages, in Catalan).
The pirate captain Saïd, wounded after attacking a Christian ship, has the captive Blanca heal his wounds. Between them a love is born that clashes with religious intolerance and the enmity of their worlds. The work also raises the marginalization of the different and the possibility of love as overcoming human divisions.
It belongs to the Educació 62 collection (number 53). This edition includes a preliminary study and proposals for work and text commentaries by Antoni Carbonell.
From 14 years; due to its didactic guide, suitable for literature students and for those interested in classical theater.
