«Marcopola, l'illa remadora» is the children's comic by Jacobo Fernández Serrano, published by Bang Ediciones in paperback (56 pages, in Catalan).
Before becoming the rowing island, Marcopola is bored in the middle of the ocean until a strange object appears on her beach. That discovery triggers a zany adventure involving butterflies, a plane, a monster, giants and many friends, showing the island's origin.
First volume of the Marcopola series, with the subtitle «L'origen d'en Marcopola», in the Mamut 6+ collection. Published in 2011, for readers aged 6 to 10.
For children starting to read: a highly visual comic, with illustrations that accompany the story and make reading more fluid for early readers.
