«María Estuardo, reina de Escocia» is the biography written by Ramón Nieto, published by Planeta in paperback (272 pages, in Spanish).
The work reviews the life of Mary Stuart from three points of view: her childhood and adolescence alongside her mother, Mary of Guise; the portrait of her reign drawn by the English ambassador Throckmorton; and the final stage, narrated from the queen herself. Alongside the political chronicle, it highlights the human side of a woman who wanted to be happy, could aspire to three crowns and died executed.
Volume 22 of the collection «Mujeres apasionadas», published in 1994. The edition includes 16 pages of black-and-white photographs.
For readers interested in the history of Scotland and in biographies of women with power in 16th-century Europe.
