«Martín Fierro» is José Hernández's gaucho poem, published by Orbis in hardcover (383 pages, in Spanish).
The poem narrates the misfortunes of Martín Fierro, a gaucho harassed by rural justice who embodies individualism and freedom in the Argentine pampa. Its two parts combine the lyrical, satirical and epic to portray the abuses of the society of his time.
