«Materia viva» is the short story collection by Meliano Peraile, published by Ediciones Libertarias in paperback (220 pages, in Spanish).
Twenty-eight stories that turn the everyday into literary material: the author starts from observing the immediate and combines it with imagination and literature. News-style stories predominate, though there are also narratives where fantasy carries more weight; love, loneliness and the human condition are treated with contemporary humor and sensitivity.
First edition, published in 1993 in the collection «Los libros del avefénix».
For readers of contemporary fiction and short stories seeking a literary look at everyday life.
