«Mein Leben als Mensch» is a collection of humorous columns by Jan Weiler, published by Rowohlt Taschenbuch Verlag in paperback (215 pages, in German).
The book brings together 61 columns in which Jan Weiler humorously observes everyday life in Germany, with his family (wife Sara, children Carla and Nick) and, above all, the visits of Antonio, his Italian father-in-law, which trigger absurd situations. He also pokes fun at children's names, Swedish crime novels and personal ads.
The work was originally published in 2009; this edition, illustrated by Larissa Bertonasco, appeared in 2011.
For those who read German and are looking for a book of light-hearted humor about family life and the quirks of German society.
