«Mejor no hagas nada» is the children's novel by Jim Benton, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Viky B., a very zany elementary school girl, discovers that her archenemy Angelina raises funds for charitable causes and decides not to be outdone. In her diary she tells how she plans to collaborate with an NGO to prove she is also a good person, though things don't turn out as she expects. An ironic novel about appearances, solidarity and selfishness.
«Mejor no hagas nada» opens the Querido Estupidiario series, within the Barco de Vapor Naranja collection. Translation by María Dolores Crispín. The original title is Let's Pretend This Never Happened.
The book is recommended for readers aged 8 to 12, especially for those seeking school humor and stories narrated as a diary.
Lauran Bosworth Paine was an American writer of Western fiction.
