«Memorias de Cristóbal Colón» is the historical novel by Stephen Marlowe, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (807 pages, in Spanish).
A historical novel that reconstructs the life of Christopher Columbus combining documentation and fiction. Marlowe imagines the navigator recounting his adventures with irony and retrospective perspective: his seafaring training, the search for patronage, the 1492 voyage that made him a legend, and the difficult years following his discovery.
It belongs to the collection Momentos estelares de la historia. This 1992 edition includes a translation by Jaime Collyer and an introduction by Alberto Cousté.

Stephen Marlowe was an American author of science fiction, mystery novels, and fictional autobiographies of Goya, Christopher Columbus, Miguel de Cervantes, and Edgar Allan Poe. He is best known for his detective character Chester Drum, whom he created for the 1955 novel The Second Longest Night. Lesser also wrote using the pseudonyms Adam Chase, Andrew Frazer, C.H. Thames, Jason Ridgway, Stephen Wilder, and Ellery Queen.
