«Memorias de una zorra» is the historical novel by Francesca Petrizzo, published by Ediciones B in paperback (304 pages, in Spanish).
After the fall of Troy, Helen is returned by Menelaus to her homeland and, from a ship, entrusts to the sea the story of her own life. Raised among shadows, forced to marry a man she did not choose and thirsting for love, her story is tinged with passion and tragedy. The author removes Helen from myth to show her as a woman of flesh and blood.
The original Italian title is «Memorie di una cagna». The novel is part of the Histórica collection from Ediciones B; the Spanish edition was published on November 10, 2010.
For readers of historical fiction and new versions of Greek mythology who want to discover a close and human Helen of Troy.
