«Mi abuelo es una estrella» is a children's story by Sacha Azcona, illustrated by Subi, published by Editorial Bruño in hardcover (32 pages, in Spanish).
The young protagonist misses his grandfather and, to cope with that absence, the story turns memory into a game of imagination: the grandfather becomes a star to look at. With a warm tone, the tale gives adults a way to talk about death and grief with the little ones and to help them smile again.
Part of the ChiquiCuentos collection. First edition published in 2016; text in cursive script and 20 illustrations.
For children aged 3 and up and for families or educators who want to sensitively address the loss of a loved one.
