«Mi nueva mascota» is a children's story by Tony Ross, from the Little Princess series, published by Beascoa in hardcover (32 pages, in Spanish).
The Little Princess is delighted with her new pet: a tadpole she has installed in a fishbowl next to her bed. Everyone around her insists that a tadpole is not a pet, but she doesn't care: she looks after it lovingly, until one morning she discovers that her little friend has a big surprise in store for her.
The original English title is Can I Keep It? and the Spanish translation is by Aurelia Manils Guarro.
Aimed at young children, its protagonist and its funny situations make it suitable for reading aloud and sharing as a family.
