«Mi otra madre» is the psychological suspense novel by Vicente Marco, published by Lengua de Trapo in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
Julián is a teenager who lives with his mother until he meets Flaquito and his aunt, La Moderna. The boy's irreverent voice guides the reader through Julián's stories, pieces of a puzzle with an unusual denouement that admits several readings. The work blends psychological suspense and unexpected humor, with a single setting and original writing.
It belongs to the Nueva Biblioteca collection, number 200, and won the 2015 Valencia Prize for Narrative in Spanish.
