«Mi primer libro sobre Goya» is the illustrated children's book by Fernando Marías, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in hardcover (32 pages, in Spanish).
It tells early readers the story of Francisco de Goya, a painter who worked for the king and who, despite going deaf, gave drawing lessons at a school for the deaf and mute. A revolt in Madrid and the help of a young woman named Ana lead him to create a painting that is now exhibited at the Museo del Prado.
Published in 2007, it belongs to Anaya's 'Mi Primer Libro' collection, within the Libros Singulares series, and features illustrations by Ximena Maier.
Aimed at a children's audience beginning to explore art and painting through the figure of Goya.
