«Mientras la tierra gira» is the short story collection by José Luis Sampedro, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (305 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together thirty-two stories written between 1945 and 1991; some are unpublished and others appeared in magazines and newspapers now hard to find. Organized into three chronological and thematic blocks, they alternate realistic chronicles with fantastic fables, and Sampedro's prose lingers on human emotions and desires.
The edition is from 1997 and appears in the Biblioteca de autor series by José Luis Sampedro (no. 8) and in the Ave Fénix collection (no. 175/8).
Recommended for readers of short fiction who want to approach José Luis Sampedro's short story work.
