«Milagros de Nuestra Señora» is the verse work of the Spanish poet Gonzalo de Berceo, published by Espasa-Calpe in paperback (211 pages, in Spanish).
Composed around 1260, it brings together twenty-five verse miracles attributed to the Virgin Mary, written in cuaderna vía within the mester de clerecía. With a didactic and devout tone, the work shows Mary as intercessor and protector of believers and conveys moral teachings.
This 1978 edition is part of the «Clásicos Castellanos» collection (number 44), with edition, prologue and notes by Antonio G. Solalinde.
The footnotes make reading easier for those not accustomed to medieval Castilian lexicon.
