«Moi, Félix, sans papiers» is the children's and young adult novel by Marc Cantin, published by Editions Milan in paperback (352 pages, in French).
Félix is ten years old and from Ivory Coast, but lives in France without papers. Through his eyes, the novel shows the clandestine life of a child who doesn't want to return to hard work in the fields and who, despite the uncertainty, still dreams of being French.
«Moi, Félix, sans papiers» is illustrated by Maud Riemann; this 2021 edition comes from the work originally published in 2007 as «Moi, Félix, 10 ans, sans-papiers».
Recommended for readers aged 9 to 12, it is a gateway to conversation about childhood and immigration.
