«Molière : que diable allait-il faire dans cette galère ?» is the biography by Sylvie Dodeller published by Ecole des Loisirs in paperback in French.
It recounts the life of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known as Molière, from his birth in Paris in 1622 and a childhood far from the theater to the years of failure before his success in the capital, achieved at the age of thirty-six. It also shows his work as an actor, stage director and company head, beyond his role as a playwright.
Published in 2016 in the Medium Poche collection by Ecole des Loisirs. The paperback edition has 96 pages.
An accessible read for young readers who want to discover Molière's life before studying his works in class.
