«Momentos decisivos» is the novel by Félix de Azúa, published by Círculo de Lectores in paperback (336 pages, in Spanish).
In the grey Spain of the mid-sixties, the novel follows young people growing up without horizons or expectations. In that rigid society, making one's own decision is experienced more as a possible mistake than as an opportunity, and each choice confronts them with frustration and the desire for an unattainable change.
The 2000 edition is classified as contemporary fiction within the literature and fiction category.
Will appeal to readers of contemporary Spanish narrative and those seeking generational portraits of the sixties.
Félix de Azúa Comella is a Spanish professor of aesthetics and philosophy, poet, novelist, essayist and translator, member of Real Academia Española.
