«Monstruos en el autobús» is the children's book from Barrio Sésamo, published by Planeta in paperback (24 pages, in Spanish).
The book turns a journey on a crowded bus into a song: some monsters travel together and the narration invites readers to follow the rhythm and join in the reading. It is meant to be shared aloud.
Published in 2002, it belongs to the collection Los cuentos de Barrio Sésamo and is part of children's and young adult literature.
Designed for young children, it supports early reading and lends itself to singing or reciting aloud.
Barrio Sésamo is the Spanish co-production of the American children's television series Sesame Street, produced by Televisión Española (TVE) and Children's Television Workshop (CTW) from 1979 to 2000. All characters adopted Spanish names while for the title of the series a more appropriate Spanish name was chosen: barrio (neighborhood) instead of street (calle).
