«Motel Chronicles & Hawk Moon» is Sam Shepard's collection of stories and poems, published by Faber Paperbacks in paperback (188 pages, in English).
It brings together stories and poems of an autobiographical tone in which Sam Shepard returns to his experiences and the American landscape: motels, highways and small towns. Part of these texts inspired the movie Paris, Texas, and the whole has been associated with the Californian beat generation.
It brings together in a single volume the texts of Motel Chronicles and Hawk Moon, with a foreword by Wim Wenders. The original edition appeared in 1985.
For readers interested in American autobiographical narrative and in Sam Shepard's work beyond his theatrical side.
