«Mr William Shakespeare's Plays: Seven Plays» is Marcia Williams's children's comic, published by Walker Books in paperback (40 pages, in English).
It collects in panels seven Shakespeare plays: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, The Winter's Tale and The Tempest. Marcia Williams adapts the plots with dialogue from the playwright and comments from the Globe audience, achieving an introduction to classical theater aimed at children.
The work was originally published in 1998; the 2009 Walker Books edition is the one described here, with a renewed cover.
Recommended for readers aged 6 to 9, especially as a first contact with Shakespeare.
Marcia Matilda Williams, Baroness Falkender, CBE, also known as Marcia Falkender, was the private secretary for, and then the political secretary and head of political office to, UK Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
